Dr Dayashan Shevantha Perera has been a Colorectal Surgeon over 10 years. He is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and holds privileges at Hurstville Private Hospital, St George Public and Private Hospital, Kareena and Sutherland Hospital. Dr Perera's main interests include laparoscopic surgery, having done nearly 1000 laparoscopic colorectal resections (one of the largest series in Australia now) and over 1200 laparoscopic hernia operations. He is currently involved in evaluation of single incision colorectal surgery ( operation performed through a single 3 cm incision in the belly button).
